so many people walk around with a meaningless life.they seem half-asleep,even when they're busy doing things they think are important.this is because they're chasing the wrong things.the way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others,devote yourself to your community around you,and devote yourself to creating something that gievs you purpose and meaning. {morrie : TUESDAY WITH MORRIE - an old man,a young man,and life's greatest lesson}

perhaps most often, people only realise the true definition to live itself, when they no longer chase the things they "desire" --that could turn out all along not what they desire?
like i mentioned before -Nemo and jason would disagree of my writing this- but the plwha i spoke with, wanted us (youngsters, especially) to realise that orgasm, drugs and sex are not what the really matters in life---though ironically back then, those were the things he desired most.
it takes an impact, so hard ---being diagnosed HIV+, to bring him back to live life the way nature/God wills.
it is saddening though, often BEFORE such impact occur, we are so stubborn enough not to take precautions and anticipate.
another point of view could be those negligence of things that are most often important, like bridging family ties, forgiving the thought-to-be "unforgiven" or even just calling home to say Hi or simply skipping meals for the sake of our work (ironically, i am one such being who finds pleasure in inflicting hunger by skipping meals ---though ironically AGAIN, i am studying nutrition?) -__-lll
instead we immerse ourselves in much hectic and busy moments, that became what we believe to be "valid" reasons of us "forgeting" what matters the most at the end of the day.
perhaps books like Tuesday with Morrie (or a Malaysian version of such a genre of book) should be introduced to the youngsters today, instead of merely teaching them about "the Pearl" or "the Return".
