caring?

today IVAC did a donation drive at pasar pagi(s)..approach the public to create awareness abt hiv/aids and at the same time collect some fund for our coming conference and activities.sad to say that...out of 10 ppl, only 1 or 2 do care about this hiv/aids issue?i wonder what if those other 8 or 9 ppl kena hiv/aids 1 day..choichoi..mmm..shud i say padan muka for being ignorant?....just wish them live happily ever after=]..when i approach them, most of them either pretend that im "invinsible"?..or shoved me away...or doesn't show any interest at all(they're more interested in fishes and vegetables)..sigh...1 of our ivac junior said,so many rich ppl...but most of them kedekut?ignorant?proud?...wats d point of being rich when u're so kedekut and have sucha "ignorant" attitude?how in the 1st place they can "earn" that rich status...well,to me rich ppl r those who really worked hard to earn every cent, good iq & eq,loving, caring etc...thats not what i noticed...and those middle-class ppl are the one caring, loving, very honest etc...they r the one that deserves to be rich..well,i guess life's like that...mmmm...if i have "enough" money,i will definately donate them to some charity organisation or help the society in which ever way i can....i may not be that "fortunate" (rich, smart etc)..but i would definately wana help those less fortunate than me...with GOD's blessings.

oh well, i guess the reason why the other 8 ignore you is bcos they are confident that they won't get AIDS in anyway bcos they don't practice drug abuse, call for protistute... or even they don't share food with other people. And besides, AIDS thing is not an uncommon thing, everyone know about AIDS la. I think u shud spread awareness in Sarawak, ppl there r damn sickening. Got students have sex in the park in kuching. Then there's this case, a guy went for a walk in the park, kena tahan by 3 guys who threaten him with knife, ask him to suck their cock. The poor victim was sucking the 2nd person then got police ronda that place, all of them kena tahan go balai polis.

people fear what they do not understand.
maybe they're just scared?

but fear should not be a reason to be ignorant, although most of the time, that's the case.

i noticed that those who normally fear talking about sex (or STDs = HIV/AIDS) with others are older adults.
whereas teenagers and adolescents are those who are most at risk and are the super-curious type (yet, ppl say they shouldn't be exposed to "yucky" "dirty" things like sex education).

ironically, these ppl fear what they do not know.
but then by understanding, it does make a difference.

you weren't at KL Sentral during the May outing (?)
i got turned down so many times aso :(
so sad.
there were 2 lengluis who ignored me but spoke to SweeWai?
-___-lllll
but there was a matsalleh who stopped and asked what we were doing.
there was a mom (with a pram wif her kid sitting in it) walked past as if julie was invisible?
:(
i was like !!!!!!!!! at the end of the session.
Both for being excited and disappointed -__-lll
mixed feelings
nevertheless, it was a great experience.

i wished i was there to help out!!!!
(I want red ribbons!)
*sweats*

Humans are interesting....
If they wanna do the world some good, they will....not necessary in the form of monetary donation...

Furthermore, if someone would have approach me, i wouldn't donate.. Don't even know how are these fundraisers spend those donated moneys...
I'd only donate if i had some idea on how the donation will be spent on...

But at least u did something good, collecting funds and raising awareness among the public... One thing for sure, u did made someone realised more about HIV/aids... 1 of the 2 goals were achieved... 50%...i'm impressed...

Great job!!
